Why This Recipe is so good

  • This ninja creami honey ice cream is perfect if you are looking for an ice cream made with an alternative to refined sugar. It’s made with only raw honey as the sweetener.
  • It doesn’t contain any eggs or yogurt. Because honey doesn’t freeze completely this ice cream has a very soft, soft serve texture. Eggs and yogurt are often used to thicken the ice cream to have a scoopable texture, but I wanted this recipe to be simple and it’s still so delicious! (We like to enjoy this ice cream in an insulated cup so it stays colder for longer!)

Recipe Ingredients

  • Raw honey – This ninja creami ice cream is sweetened completely with raw honey. It adds a lovely sweet floral honey flavor. Honey doesn’t freeze completely so this ice cream will have a softer consistency.
  • Milk and honey – Equal amounts whole milk and heavy cream creates a lovely creamy soft serve ice cream consistency.
  • Ground cinnamon and nutmeg – pairs so well with the flavor of the honey. I also added vanilla bean paste to enhance the flavor of this ice cream.
  • Salt – Just a pinch to help balance out the sweetness of the honey.

How to Make Ninja Creami Honey Cinnamon Ice Cream

All ingredients, measurements, and instructions are in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  1. Add milk and honey to a Ninja Creami pint container. Stir until the honey has dissolved. Next stir in vanilla bean paste, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cream until combined. (Ground cinnamon likes to float on top of liquids, just mix it as much as you can.)
  2. Top the pint container with the lid then freeze on a level surface for 22 – 24 hours.
  3. The next day, remove the lid, then place it inside the Ninja Creami outer bowl, and insert it into the machine. Press the “Ice Cream” button, then allow it to run through the cycle. This takes about 2 minutes. Scoop and enjoy!

Notes

How To Store/ Make Ahead

Frozen unblended pints will last in the freezer for 2-3 months. After blending 1 – 2 months. Sometimes they can become freezerburnt or super icy if left in the freezer after blending for too long.

Store blended ice cream in reusable ice cream containers or these paper ice cream containers. So you can save your ninja creami pint containers for more ice cream creations.

Tips and Tricks

  • If your ice cream isn’t smooth after the first cycle through the machine, run it through the RE-SPIN cycle with a splash of cream or milk until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • Serving ideas: drizzle of honey or with honey wafers.
