Tips and Tricks
- Honey doesn’t dissolve easily in cold drinks. It will seize up in clumps so make sure to add it to the warm matcha before combining with the milk or use a honey syrup. This Honey Lavender Syrup makes delicious matcha lattes.
- You don’t have to use flakey salt but if you are using fine salt make sure to add just a tiny bit since it’s easier to oversalt when using fine ground salt.
- Ceremonial grade matcha really does make your lattes better. It’s more expensive to buy than culinary grade but it has a much better flavor and color.
Variations
- Add a bit of vanilla bean paste
- A sprinkle of ground cinnamon
