  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together mayo, dairy-free milk and pickle juice.
½ cup Mayo, 2 tablespoons Dairy-free milk, 2 tablespoons dill pickle juice or lemon juice
  • Then stir in the ranch seasonings.
1 teaspoon dried onion flakes, ½ teaspoon dried parsley, ½ teaspoon dried dill weed, 1 teaspoon dried chives, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Taste and adjust for seasoning. I added an extra pinch of dried parsley and dill and a splash of pickle juice. Use immediately or store in the fridge until chilled.
  • If you want a thicker ranch dip, leave out the milk or use less. Also keep in mind that the ranch dressing will thicken in the fridge.

Tips and Tricks

  • Ranch dressing will thicken in the fridge. Whisk in a bit more dairy free milk or pickle juice until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • This dairy free ranch dressing is made without sour cream to keep it dairy free. You can add a bit of your favorite non-dairy sour cream to make it a bit richer and creamier. Or leave it out!
  • Make vegan ranch dressing by swapping out the mayo for vegan mayo.
  • If you want to use fresh herbs. Parsley - use 1 tablespoon finely chopped, dill weed - use ½ teaspoon finely chopped, chives - use 1 tablespoon finely chopped.
  • Pickle juice - this might seem like a weird ingredient to add but I find it really makes this ranch dressing taste like ranch.
  • Make a big batch of the dry ranch mix by using this recipe so you can easily make ranch dressing whenever you want. Use 1 tablespoon for this recipe. It’s dairy free and made without buttermilk powder.
