Why This Recipe is so good
This jalapeno ranch dressing with mayonnaise is completely dairy free, but still full of so much creamy ranch flavor. The homemade ranch seasoning mix adds the ranch flavor and the lime juice adds the signature ranch tang. And the mayo makes it nice and creamy.
If you love spice, you’ll love this ranch dressing. It’s not overly spicy, but it does have a nice kick to it. It’s so good enjoyed with corn chips, fried mozzarella sticks, or poured over your favorite salad.
And this jalapeno ranch dressing does not contain any coconut milk or coconut cream, so if you aren’t a fan of coconut like me, this recipe is perfect for you!
Recipe Ingredients

- Jalapeno pepper – ½ or a whole fresh jalapeno pepper gives this ranch dressing spice and flavor.
- Lime juice – Adds a zesty fresh and tangy flavor to this sauce.
- Cilantro – Adds to the freshness of this ranch dip. If you don’t like cilantro simply leave it out.
- Mayo – Gives this dairy free jalapeno ranch dressing a creamy consistency. Use regular, or vegan mayo if you are vegan or egg free.
- Dairy free milk – This dairy free ranch is made without coconut milk or cream. I used oat milk to thin out the dressing, making it a bit more pourable. Unsweetened almond milk will work as well.
- Homemade ranch seasoning mix – This is a mix of onion and garlic powder, onion flakes, dried herbs like chives, dill, and parsley. If you want to make a big batch of this dairy free dry ranch seasoning mix check out this recipe.

Omit the cilantro if you don’t like it.
Swap out the oat milk for coconut milk or coconut cream if you prefer.
Add minced fresh garlic to make this ranch dressing even more flavorful.
Add an equal amount of dairy-free sour cream to make your ranch dressing even more creamy and tangy.

If you want a thicker ranch dressing use less oat milk or omit entirely.

Notes
How To Store/ Make Ahead
- If you are using my homemade ranch seasoning mix, use 1 ½ tablespoons of ranch mix.
- Make it vegan: use your favorite egg free mayo.
- Use garlic powder and onion powder, not granulated garlic and onion. The powdered kind will make your ranch dip taste more like ranch.
- Omit the cilantro if you don’t like it. You could add fresh parsley or just leave it out completely.
- Coconut milk or cream: Swap out the oat milk for coconut milk or coconut cream if you prefer.
- Add fresh minced garlic to make this ranch dressing even more flavorful. 1 garlic clove or to taste, finely chopped.
- Add an equal amount of dairy free sour cream to make your ranch dressing even more creamy and tangy.
- If you want a thicker ranch dressing use less oat milk or omit entirely.
